Planned in 3D. Finished on plan.

Fourteen real users: teeth that moved back after braces, gaps between the front teeth, crowding, crossed and turned teeth. Four tracked in full, every one finished on the exact number of aligners their dentist planned.

Pick your starting point

Your dentist sets your exact plan from your impressions. These are the people who started closest to you, and what happened.

You've done this once. The teeth only need to go back.

Teeth keep moving for life. Once a retainer goes in a drawer, the front teeth usually drift first. The good news is that the bone and gums have already been through it once, so the plan is often shorter than a first treatment.

  • Sarah wore braces as a teenager and stopped wearing her retainer. Her dentist planned 12 aligners, the shortest plan of our four case studies, and she finished on all 12.
  • Her arch went from irregular to an even U-shape by aligner 7, then the aligners straightened each tooth.
  • This time the end of treatment is planned too: active retainers, then night-time wear, with a written schedule.

Gaps closed

Two gaps, closed at home

Bianca and Neisha both came to us about the gaps between their front teeth. Their dentists planned the closure in 3D and checked their photos every month until the result matched the plan.

What the records show

The plan predicts the work

Before the first aligner is made, a dentist programmes the end position and counts the aligners. Here is how that plan compared with what happened.

Aligners: planned vs used

Planned in 3DActually used
05101520Sarah12 of 12Melanie15 of 15Kate14 of 14Josephine16 of 16aligners

Every user finished on the count planned before treatment. None needed the refinement round that is included in the price.

Weeks: fastest pace vs actual

At 2 weeks per alignerConfirmed result
010203040Sarah2431 wks (+7)Melanie3035 wks (+5)Kate2835 wks (+7)Josephine3237 wks (+5)weeks

All four took 5 to 7 weeks longer than the fastest possible pace. When a tooth needs more time, your dentist extends wear and tells you in writing.

Monthly photos drive every decisionMoving to the next phase, holding an aligner, extending wear, replacing a lost one: each came from a photo set and a written dentist note.
Fast repliesAcross 25 reviews, the median time from photos to written feedback was 3 days. The longest waits were final bite-video reviews.
On pace most of the wayThree of four stayed within about one aligner of plan for most of treatment. Most of the extra time came in the final stretch.
How it works

Seven steps, each checked by a dentist

  1. Online consultationSmile photos and health questions, reviewed by a dentist.
  2. Home impressionsEach attempt photographed and checked before you post it back.
  3. Your 3D planThe dentist programmes every movement and sets your aligner count.
  4. Fit checkThree photos with aligner 1 in. The clock starts when the fit is confirmed.
  5. Monthly reviewsSix photos a month. Your dentist compares them with the plan and replies in the app.
  6. Final reviewPhotos and a bite video checked against the 3D end position.
  7. RetainersActive and standard retainers, with a written wear schedule.

Common questions

How do I know aligners will work for my teeth?

A dentist has reviewed your photos already. After your impressions, the dentist builds your 3D plan and confirms the aligner count, and you see the simulation of your result.

What if my teeth take longer than planned?

That's covered. All four users here took 5 to 7 weeks longer than the fastest pace and paid nothing extra. A refinement round is included if it's clinically needed.

I had braces before. Is that a problem?

No. It's one of the most common reasons people come to us. Sarah's case above is one example. Your dentist plans from where your teeth are now.

What if I lose or break an aligner?

We replace it free. Kate lost aligner 4, wore aligner 3 for about three weeks while the replacement was made, and still finished on plan.

Will my teeth move back afterwards?

Retainers are included, with a written schedule: full-time at first, then nights. Keeping to it is what holds the result.
